<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here in the suburbs of Mississauga, french macarons are pretty hard to come by. The only places I know that sell these little french delights are Whole foods that come at a price of $8 for 6 minis and from Sweets located in Heartland which sadly shut down. They definitely do not come cheap, and they're pretty tricky to make too, and I don't really have patience to make 20 batches of flopped macarons..maybe one day but not anytime soon. So it hit me, that what Mississauga lacks in the hundreds of bakeries around me are macarons. I'm on a mission to change that, I'm sick and tired of looking at macaron pictures on instagram and pinterest. Here in Streetsville theres about 10 bakeries alone, cute little pastry shops filled with everything but macarons. I've decided to make a business proposal, and that is for them to start selling macarons. I'm going to treat this like a thesis and do my research, make personal surveys and just basically get at least ONE bakery in Streetsville to make these goddamn cute french cookies! I will post about my progress and even set up a survey..I don't know how or when this will happen but all I know is that I'm going to make this happen.</div>

food porn of the day: a mini layered cake I made for my mom<br />
<br />
I came across this really helpful article by the Huffington post written by Anna Brones called, <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/anna-brones/foodie-summer-vacation-guide_b_1647578.html"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;">The Ultimate Foodie Guide to Summer: 100 ways to spend your vacation</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;">. </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span">Summer is the season of food festivals, food markets, watermelons, BBQ, fruit picking, and a great time to experiment with alot of colours on your plate. I love inviting friends over for a mini get together and impromptu bbq's and with my patio actually set up this year theres no reason to NOT host one every week. Anyways the list is great but this inspired me to make my own summer list but instead of a 100 ways it's more like 20: </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span">1. Perfect your own guacamole recipe</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span"><br /></span><br />

6. Bring enough cash for ribfest I'm talking $40 instead of a $20<br />
<br />
7. Go to at least 4 restaurants in the list of 100 during Summerlicious<br />
<br />
8. Buy a nice pitcher to put your homemade sangria, adult lemonaide, spiked punch etc.<br />
<br />
9. Appreciate a good mimosa on a patio<br />
<br />
10. Make your own batch of macarons<br />
<br />
11. D.I.Y your own popsicles and freezies<br />
<br />
12. Eat alot of gelato & froyo<br />
<br />
13. create 100 different salads throughout the season<br />
<br />
14. Actually have a picnic this year with the basket, blanket..the works<br />
<br />
15. Sneak your own snacks into the movie theatre and resist the urge to buy popcorn<br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Filipino food is apparently FINALLY trending and I can confidentally be that person that says "I've been on that for a while now" seriously since I began to actually appreciate food... basically since birth. So you can only imagine my absolute joy to find out about<a href="http://titaflips.com/"> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;">Tita Flips</span></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;"> </span>which is located in a cute little kitchen/shack/sort of like a truck minus engines and wheels right along Dundas St W. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Kanto by Tita Flips is managed and created by Diona Joyce who incorporates a western gourmet approach to tradional Filipino meals. She makes everything herself from her chicharon (fried pork chips) to the crunchy peanuts. Like the food her social media & brand marketing is on point you can follow her on<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;"> <a href="http://twitter.com/titaflips"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;">twitter</span></a></span> & <a href="http://www.facebook.com/titaflipsTO"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: magenta;">facebook</span></a> as she always updates news, upcoming events & pictures that make me salivate. Another reason why I love going to Tita Flips is because well...she cooks just as good as my mom (love you mom!). </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
We've been going to Tita Flips almost every Tuesday for some Halo-Halo which is a filipino beverage/dessert perfect for a hot day and after a yummy lunch. One of my favorite items on her menu other than everything on it, is the ice candy. Words cannot describe how happy they make me and how nostalgic I get once I start eating it. They bring me back to when I was a little girl when my lola (grandma) use to make them for us when we'd visit her in California during the summer. The ice candy is basically a filipino freezie filled with fruit juices Tita Flips has various flavors from buko (coconut milk& jelly) to mango.</div>

You're always greeted with a smile and the smells of lechon (crispy pork) at Kanto. Tita Flips is not only a great place to stop by for a quick lunch and a dinner-to-go but they also cater aswell so you can party with a belly full of yum! </div>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-59768454023477948902012-05-30T16:21:00.002-07:002012-05-30T16:26:11.122-07:00C.I.Y: Leftover Omelette #nomnom<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm always bombarded with leftovers..always, so what a better way to get rid of it than by recycling!
I've always done this and throughout the years have created some reallly gooood stuff out of mixing and matching leftovers and eggs. My mom made an amazing roast beef and there it was in the fridge so I decided to make an omelette and actually recorded it!</div>

<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;">Don’t let the
title fool you; this up and coming sausage hall is definitely one of the highlight cuisines in King West.</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;">Pronounced as
“verst” located on 609 King West this burgeoning place is literally a must go
to spot in the city.</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;">Upon entering
you’re greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The atmosphere is warm, the
rhythm is bustling and one gets a strong feeling of cabin comfort that embraces
Eastern European culture.</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 24px;">There
are not only regular faces but new ones automatically feel at home and once you
enter the Wvrst doors you’re part of a community, seated amongst friends. </span><br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7180/6889641214_f967761edd.jpg" /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7108/6889633446_35cbc506bf.jpg" /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
Although Wvrst only serves strictly sausages, the menu covers all foodies from
vegetarians to those with an acquired taste (Kangaroo!) and it’s not just sausages
on a bun options either but with a wide mix of variety such as gourmet dipping
sauces to accompany your meal. You could take your sausage currywurst a German
cuisine favorite that consists of ketchup and curry, or your fries cooked in
duck fat.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7261/7035720263_28488e3f00.jpg" /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
When I first heard of WVRST and of their extensive exotic sausage
menu my imagination ran wild, I pictured a dark hole in the wall deli, you know
one of those places you see in New York mafia movies. It definitely wasn’t a
hole in the wall but more of a loft like space with an extensive bar filled
with a wide range of North American to European beers and rows upon rows of
modern picnic tables with windows that look out onto the King West streets. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7261/6889629722_a571191f08.jpg" /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
My
curiosity was put to rest when I tried the more traditional option of Kranjska,
which is basically a pork, and garlic sausage and boy, it did not disappoint,
the taste was succulent, and juicy in all the right places from the tip of the
sausage to the last bite. Because it was such a pleasant experience I actually
looked at the menu again and considered the more exotic options like venison,
or elk. Each time since I’ve first dined at Wvrst be it after work or after a
day of shopping ay King West with good friends we’ve all left very satisfied
and in good sprits that lasts for whole day with a promise to spontaneously
return and finally try the kangaroo. Wvrst is exactly what King West needs,
exciting, eccentric, and of course a fresh gourmet experience to the Toronto
foodie community.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I leave you with a German Oktoberfest song that is in constant rotation everytime I've visted WVRST.<br />

It is defintely the first or last go to spot in the market for a good drink and a satisfying meal that doesn't break one's wallet. I personally love Last Temption so this review is probably a little biased. A great place to grab a pitcher with friends after work or catch a brunch before class, with a diverse menu the food does not disappoint especially for its under $10 prices. The ambience of the place is usually very lively no matter what time of the day youre automatically greeted with a smile and a seat once you enter. My personal favorite are the brunches, with</div><div style="text-align: justify;">such a great variety I'm often pondering which omlette to try. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7214/7086471785_fb3204019b.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">My recent visit to Last Temption was probably one of my best, it wasn't busy and was filled with it's daily regulars, I decided to go for a spinach feta omlette. As I waited for my meal Johnny Cash was playing throughout the eatery and as I stared outside at the Kensington scenery it was that moment as cliche as this may sound I felt as if I was starring in my own indie movie set in Retro Row in Los Angeles..which is one of my favorite places in the world.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: left; "><img src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5459/7086469685_2ec5ec79c6.jpg" /></div><div><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Everytime I eat at Last Temptation it feels like that famous saying " a home away from home." I love the little joys in life and I consider myself to have a very photographic memory for the most useless details..So I've compiled short video capturing the little details we often take advantage of while baking. In this video I showcase a vegan chocolate cake, and blueberry lemon w/ almonds sugar cookies. Both were verrry easy to make because well we used Betty Crocker mix but with our own little spin to it. To suppliment eggs for the vegan chocolate cake use 3 bananas and soy milk. For the sugar cookies, what you'll need is betty crocker sugar cookie mix, roast almonds with sea salt, half a lemon with orange & lemon zest, cinnamon and of course blue berries. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><iframe width="500" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/GluzhCebIlo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-46516182513112702322012-03-06T07:35:00.009-08:002012-03-27T18:20:26.606-07:00Local Love: Union Social Eatery (6968 Financial Drive Mississauga)<div style="text-align: justify;">I heard about <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#ff0000;"><a href="http://www.unionsocial.ca/"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#ff0000;">Union Social Eatery</span></b></a> </span>from a friend on a Friday night. </div><div style="text-align: justify;">The original plan was to go out for nachos to our local spot, and up on the last minute she suddenly brought up this exciting new place on Financial Drive where everything on the menu is less than $18. Of course I jumped on this exciting new opportunity because I love trying out new places, and in Mississauga thats pretty rare. Upon entering Union Social Eatery you get a very warm vibe about the place, it's homey but with a touch of finesse. The interior is modern with racks of wine on display , a large mural of people dancing in the back and dark wood panels as walls, so theres a sense of a relaxed movement about the place. It's fairly new having just opened in November and as expected it was a full house filled with people from all walks of life, but once we walked through the door we were quickly accomodated. </div><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7063/6958112851_4f4f26663e.jpg" /><br /><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7052/6812000276_b2335e6561.jpg" /><br /><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7060/6812059118_df6b0fe032.jpg" /><br /><br />The service was by far one of the best services I've had in the city, the staff was very accomodating, kind, and didn't even need a reminder to fill our cups! We were quite lucky because we came on a $5 Friday night wine special and they have gluten free options so this place has literally everything covered. We started the evening with nachos, which was huge and meant to share with at least 4 people and was split between my friend and I, it was very delicious that we finished the entire thing ...we were already filled before our meals came.<br /><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7207/6958117339_2119543723.jpg" /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Of course we continued our dining experience and ordered their hand crafted flat bread pizzas, I got the Margherita pizza with gluten free thin crust . It tasted like an insalata caprese on thin crust, it's ingredients include boccini and mozerella chesse, fresh basil, roma tomatoes, and the simplicity and taste filled all the right places. Our food came in a timely fashion, so you didn't wait 12139012 minutes, it was just right. </div><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7057/6812056876_98342fa537.jpg" /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Next was the Dessert, my friend and I rarely look at the dessert menu's because were both not really sweet tooths, but because we were at this new place and already had such a filling experience, we wanted more. All the desserts on the menu is $4.95 and it's not a half ass dessert menu either, with typical cake options or a brownie. To my surprise the options were rather gourmet-esque and for the price it was definitely #winning!! I got the Lindt chocolate creme brulee and my friend opted for fresh cookies and vanilla bean ice cream. Both were not overtly sweet but with just the right amount that really tickles the sweet tooth, it was the perfect end to a great dining experience. </div><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7044/6958170975_185b4d87b4.jpg" /><br /><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7049/6812063142_9a363fdb7c.jpg" /><br /><br /><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7060/6958175201_661a7c0d56.jpg" />ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-29649560311712895082012-03-05T23:51:00.005-08:002012-03-06T07:32:44.746-08:00Breakfast<div style="text-align: justify;">The most important meal of the day. Many including myself often forget this and rather take advantage of said meal by skipping it. With the new year I vowed to change this and although I've already broken this resolution ...the year is not over yet. Breakfast is a hit or miss for me, if time allows me I indulge! but with the morning rush one is limited to creativity for this meal and it gets rather boring. Soooo because I'm trying to change this pattern of skipping breakfast I'm going to do my best in dedicating a post every week to breakfast! with pictures of my own breakfast and some creative ways to spice up the morning. But also various ways other foodies prepare theirs from vegans, vegetarians to meat eaters! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">A verrry helpful video in putting creativity into the most important meal of the day</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><iframe width="500" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/46X8FYx3O00" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">a photo of my go-to breakfast, Special K vanilla almond cereal with fresh strawberries, and blueberries with soy milk</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7210/6911434879_d80c197a63.jpg" /></div>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-81198757944126339752012-02-03T14:06:00.000-08:002012-02-05T20:07:39.562-08:00Cake Pop Cheat Sheet<div style="text-align: justify;">Hello eduplaters!!!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I've missed you all very much, after a long hiatus, some eating here and there and foodventures, I come back bearing some good gifts and a new DSLR! so basically more HQ pics! Over the holidays I was in a rush and needed a quick cute cake pop fix minus the baking. So I will<br />bestow upon you my beloved recipe for yummy fresh summery<br />guacamole.<br /><br />1.Here's what your going to need:<br />2 Haas avocados<br />kosher salt<br />1 jalepeno pepper<br />one red onion<br />cilantro<div>lime </div><div><br /><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSUZm3yeUHPFu_-zhPk-gY8WUD_qE2YGJikZjK1pMHfIOmcEb5pm9QaEeaAFacj0-t0ZvfoVVxPESWIB8lmhi2973tg7XA5jPrJqwSSUf_yzg8OXvou4Ozk7b_ZeI2i_CRn_egHIxD2EA/s400/DSC00588.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476363320463365906" /><br /><br /><div>2.slice ingredients finely,<br />cut the avocados in half and place in a bowl, squeeze </div><div>the lime juice into the bowl with the avocados and</div><div>smash with a fork until tender, once the avocado's are</div><div>soft, place the rest of the ingredients and mix. </div><div><br /><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgW_7JgD-oUJhPVXTJ_6qwVbHQWpeNrL41rb3qRPUqLiHWJF-8Vgd6gH0qpf1iVd4qmufVFJNSmSthAnSKRG2cjCWu43SjPbpCCerULWAnGgIhlcA9wGLAOVYR7ndcRDI3PDd-xwW0S7cE/s400/DSC00589.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476363328288283026" /></div><div><br /></div><div>3. Well for about 3 years now my<br />friends and I have been going to this cute little place called <br /><a href="http://bubblerepublic.ca/">Bubble Republic</a>.<br />Located on 4040 Creditview rd, in a little strip plaza beside No Frills,<div>and CIBC.The menu consists of endless flavours,styles,tapioca, cold, </div><div>warm, various types of bubble teas. It's open till midnight and does </div><div>not take debit or credit so be prepared to have cash on you.</div><div>You definitely get more than what you pay for and the service is pretty </div><div>good too. They also have a modest food menu and everything is literally </div><div>under $10. Anyways my good friend Ania and I went recently to get our fix.</div><div><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilgZyOGI6SJvVZ7FzPdff0TiCuWoL3vXL-mDKYkfZbSKXhxk5glhEO_15tiPEssSDwFdVXBcemaEpc08OCsa4HT20p8tyli4GCywWsOaSOP3Hzp-48KMZQwlnoWAZJ4gglIjzBBFzHAcE/s1600/DSC00586.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilgZyOGI6SJvVZ7FzPdff0TiCuWoL3vXL-mDKYkfZbSKXhxk5glhEO_15tiPEssSDwFdVXBcemaEpc08OCsa4HT20p8tyli4GCywWsOaSOP3Hzp-48KMZQwlnoWAZJ4gglIjzBBFzHAcE/s320/DSC00586.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5473212453358870738" /></a><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxUh6MaM3CaWfAvnPhkIITNFlaMy4dHMFnRVIm4sjNmoDc9EjUayEGmNeOHlKrzZMqPVVmACzxbWe0pRBBmPbmudGcQkV00J2Au45FV_uTGpLFcddtMoV5wvERSc0U_gs2DGdkPHpUv8E/s320/DSC00585.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5473212447324635938" /><br /><br /></div>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-83242842402444551822010-05-19T15:32:00.001-07:002010-05-19T16:35:51.785-07:00spring/summer food runwayHello foodies,<br /><br />So sorry for the long overdue post but I come back bearing gifts!<br />As you all know spring is amongst us and summer is just around<br />the corner and with these sunny seasons comes new menu's, recipes,<br />fruits, veggie's and just new food in general!!! I am personally stoked,<br />as of recently I have made a personal decision to abstain from meat and<br />have pretty much cut out fast food in my personal menu after watching<br />fast food nation. I went from eating meat twice a week, to once,<br />to barely and I feel great! Being a normal early twenty something girl<br />and having all these accessibility to various foods is both a curse and <br />blessing. It's hard to weed out the bad from the good when there are soo <br />many options.When doing this blog it started out as something fun and<br />a log for the things I gained out of my food, land and culture course. <br />Since then I personally feel that I have grown not just waist size but <br />consciously grown aware of what I am eating where it comes from, <br />and well what I am getting out of it. Lets just say my short term break <br />was in a sense a food makeover. So a personal thank you to those who <br />read this little thing, this is going to sound ultra cheesy but let's eat <br />together and spread the word about healthy, sustainable eating.<br />I'm going to try my best to help not only myself but you out to make <br />good decisions on where to eat, what to eat, and <br />also save some money while doing so.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://fashion1psychology.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/watermelon.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 423px; height: 406px;" src="http://fashion1psychology.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/watermelon.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-59548596013631260062010-03-26T07:06:00.000-07:002010-03-26T07:08:47.653-07:00chocolate records<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JVM18iJTMZs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JVM18iJTMZs&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object><br /><br />prettay prettay coolger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-33065434785132332362010-03-02T11:27:00.001-08:002010-03-02T11:47:47.233-08:00Last nights dinner<object width="400" height="300"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9860743&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1"><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9860743&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="300"></embed></object><p><a href="http://vimeo.com/9860743">kitchen video</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user2523103">geri coria</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com/">Vimeo</a>.</p><br /><br />Last night I was feeling pretty crafty and made a kitchen video. I've been cooking alot lately nothing challenging just the simple stuff like fish, salads, rice, etc, etc. But yesterday I felt pretty good cause I just got my hair did and after a shitty unmotivational week it was a personal reward..sort of anyways here are some pics. I posted the insalata caprese salad recipe way back in October it was my first post on eduplate, and the recipe for the salmon is pretty simple its white wine, and herbs of your personal preference. Onto the pics<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnLQagxtPE8cLpv_IjFjYaxBoys6tTd8xBB7alyyREK3vTWqHRoQ9gh6d-EXwZIGWOC9f3ZLKNV-VgZJxVDkZ3b0_tC0Doa8Kyyoq1P3Vfdqo3WHPOzIcFX95OH08seyl0eC2dW6RfRoQ/s1600-h/DSC00528.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnLQagxtPE8cLpv_IjFjYaxBoys6tTd8xBB7alyyREK3vTWqHRoQ9gh6d-EXwZIGWOC9f3ZLKNV-VgZJxVDkZ3b0_tC0Doa8Kyyoq1P3Vfdqo3WHPOzIcFX95OH08seyl0eC2dW6RfRoQ/s400/DSC00528.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444124464531182018" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzaspniWPGh0bNAPNNziU5LUY7yfS31LUVWwLUWJU1IIOhESNOk8g_IwcC57stJPV-PLrKOTGtZxkxSx5UFBYPfu_XNu1jDu5hQVxUkBoQNTBrmNk0PqBX1kdZN-kcyhQffipNPoLRFB0/s1600-h/DSC00529.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzaspniWPGh0bNAPNNziU5LUY7yfS31LUVWwLUWJU1IIOhESNOk8g_IwcC57stJPV-PLrKOTGtZxkxSx5UFBYPfu_XNu1jDu5hQVxUkBoQNTBrmNk0PqBX1kdZN-kcyhQffipNPoLRFB0/s400/DSC00529.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444124455634831442" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF8diL27E3ZuJ3AJomvW3STgnNk5pngEQKodvo5W87FNhJeGhzwdyAfY6jDtqEJpEWi57kUyQLKBLM3KpWDcYuVWNXnRzOmZ5PkZcohevlg7qKA1AuVPJaYp7SLRu4qLKLHzN0niKWkYw/s1600-h/DSC00530.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhF8diL27E3ZuJ3AJomvW3STgnNk5pngEQKodvo5W87FNhJeGhzwdyAfY6jDtqEJpEWi57kUyQLKBLM3KpWDcYuVWNXnRzOmZ5PkZcohevlg7qKA1AuVPJaYp7SLRu4qLKLHzN0niKWkYw/s400/DSC00530.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444124451331644658" /></a>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-3501172085224041702010-03-02T09:53:00.000-08:002010-03-02T09:59:14.305-08:00sweet potato chips<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZk3FWEFH4nPNCSc5MFcZK9TAFRjpnExTu99Ar4XWEilocTqCanYUiMedgP1susYif-rDL-ifiaiq8Rxt3yzyvg2qzhJUkGZ2Edq5PCWG7Ioyf30xBqYH0gAi_BXoHehduiJVXL3C1rpo/s1600-h/DSC00522.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZk3FWEFH4nPNCSc5MFcZK9TAFRjpnExTu99Ar4XWEilocTqCanYUiMedgP1susYif-rDL-ifiaiq8Rxt3yzyvg2qzhJUkGZ2Edq5PCWG7Ioyf30xBqYH0gAi_BXoHehduiJVXL3C1rpo/s400/DSC00522.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444097329627590946" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFm99dAmvgxwq-ZNdRa2LQZji_W03b6nYEU0t7dwvGkSXpW9H4tZxbW0Ncl0G7ElCwDP-r_-3UQ-MM7l_87cne28Tj6X0UordynZhG2U9JdKlj2x7abCys_ONBin-5sct-7rI_NXBPIgA/s1600-h/DSC00521.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFm99dAmvgxwq-ZNdRa2LQZji_W03b6nYEU0t7dwvGkSXpW9H4tZxbW0Ncl0G7ElCwDP-r_-3UQ-MM7l_87cne28Tj6X0UordynZhG2U9JdKlj2x7abCys_ONBin-5sct-7rI_NXBPIgA/s400/DSC00521.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444097321400242066" /></a><br />I found a gem at Sobey's the other day it's called sweet potato chips. Less on the calories, and overall just healthier and super yummy. I've been planning on making my own homemade chips very soon I'm going to start with making plantain chips possibly next week if time will let me. Anyways these got me through the last olympic hockey game when stress eating just magically occurs. <div><br /></div>ger.http://www.blogger.com/profile/16731283440409198496noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853618186209750215.post-36260499000495548322010-02-26T13:09:00.000-08:002010-02-26T13:17:42.761-08:00Kitchen VIDEO: chicken enchiladas with chile verdeI was browsing around the internet and I happen to stumble upon a verry cool cooking video <div>on a very cool<a href="http://blushingambition.blogspot.com/"> blog</a> (blushingambition). Seriously..theres no sand nor witches involved in making a sandwich, k that was super corny but you get what I'm sort of saying..I hope. When I am super lazy to cook I always make a cucumber sprout cream cheese sandwich it's as easy as 1-2-3. For this sandwich I didnt have any cucumbers (boo) but it was still pretty pretty darn good.</div><div><br />1.
